Building Defect & Building Pathology Instruction

Undertaking Building Defect Instruction is a daily activity for Building Surveyors.   Such as

·       Roof leaks,

·       cracking,

o   Reinforced concrete

o   Render

o   Brickwork

·       water ingress,

·       dampness, Stachybotrys chartarum / Black Mold

·       concrete spalling, etc.

·       Poor workmanship.

·       Noise transmission between dwellings

·       Draft and air tightness.

·       Cladding issues.

As with other types of instruction, we have specialists on call to assist, be it with

1.      Drone Survey Visible light and/or thermographic

2.      Thermographic surveys (Inferred camera surveys)

3.      Acoustic or electrical detection surveys for roof and cladding leaks

4.      Land surveyor to monitor cracking and use of telltale signs in the building.

5.      Mechanical and Electrical Engineer with regard to building heating, cooling and electrical services.

6.      Lift Engineers

7.      Structural engineer on cracking.

8.      Drainage engineers with regard to below-ground drainage. An often-neglected area by Building Surveyors.
